About The Gailans Collection

The Gailans Collection is a rapidly expanding source of high quality exclusive and stylish images suitable for creative publishing or advertising projects.

Our main interests are images for fiction book covers (we're avid readers) and horticulture (we're enthusiastic plants people as well!) or any project with style.

Established more than twelve years ago by Girts Gailans, a photographer whose background in photography for advertising and architecture is well suited to creating strong, atmospheric images with a heavily graphic influence. He was joined a few years ago by Jan Bickerton, whose softer, dreamier style of photography is perfect when a more subtle, human touch is needed.

 

The Collection resists the label 'stock' in favour of a 'commissioned' feel to most of the images. But that should come as no surprise since both the partners are photographers with many years experience. If it isn't in the library today, just ask us nicely and maybe, just maybe, it could be in our files tomorrow!
